Sister Hema's Welcome
On April 3rd, 2024, Notre Dame Academy Patna warmly welcomed Sister Mary Hema as she took over the responsibility of the new headmistress of the primary section. The common assembly held on the first day of the school commenced with a warm welcome to all the students, marking the beginning of a new academic session. It was followed with a solemn Bible reading, emphasizing the importance of unwavering faith and trust in God. A poignant story reiterated this message. Prayers were offered for the stakeholders - sisters, teachers, administrative staff, students, and parents, seeking guidance and blessings. Sister Hema was warmly welcomed by the student council. In a gesture of honor, the primary section presented a prayer dance performance, followed by a melodious song by the high school students. Sister Hema delivered an inspirational speech emphasizing unity, collaboration, and mutual respect as integral elements for achieving academic excellence and personal development. Our principal, Sister Mary Neha, wished Sister Hema success in her new role, expressed gratitude to Sister Rosemary for her dedicated service, and extended a hearty welcome to the new teachers while conveying best wishes to the entire school community for a successful journey ahead.
Sister Rosemary's Farewell - 7 th February 2024
A farewell is an expression of good wishes to the people who are leaving a school or an institution. The farewell ceremony of Sister Rosemary was a poignant memorable event celebrating a Headmistress who had left an indelible mark on the hearts of the entire school community. It was a day filled with love, tears and deep sense of gratitude. The entire school school community came together to bid farewell to the beloved educator who is leaving everyone with cherish memories that will treasure for years to come .The farewell ceremony of our beloved Sister Rosemary was a heart warming event. The event was marked by gratitude and nostalgia as students and teachers came together to bid adieu to a beloved educator who had guided this institution for the past 5 years. She has inspired the students by her kindness empathy, warmth and positivity. The ceremony commenced with lighting of lamp, presentation of the bouquet and prayer dance which filled the air with serenity and peace. This was followed by scripture reading and intentions to evoke God's presence. We asked God's blessings to guide her in all parts of her life as she embarks a new journey .The gratitude speech was delivered by Kanishka Mittal of standard 5A reminiscing the Headmistress' contribution and impact on the school. A beautiful programme was put up on the theme 'More Power, More Love and More of You in our Hearts' . Life is a collection of moments and we want to hold on these moments forever. To share these unforgettable memories, a heart warming video presentation featuring memorable moments of her in the school was played. This was followed by a blessing song and dance performance to thank the Headmistress for her valuable contribution to the school. It was indeed a touching tribute to our loving Sr. Rosemary. Our respected Principal Sr. Mary Neha gave a speech appreciating the colossal contribution of our loving Headmistress for her constant support, love and kindness she showered upon the students. A heart felt speech was also given by Sister Rosemary which was addressed to the students. The ceremony concluded with a blessing song to express gratitude towards the Almighty for sharing His blessings upon her.
Veer Gatha 3.0
Notre Dame Academy, Patna, participated in the All India Veer Gatha 3.0 Competition conducted by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education, Government of India, in the current year 2023-24. The project aimed to hone the spirit of patriotism and civic consciousness in school students, encompassing diverse categories such as art, poems, essays, and multimedia. The evaluation was conducted at three levels: District level, State/UT Level, and National level. 1.37 crore students from 2.43 lakhs schools participated in this competition . Aastha Kumari, a 5th-grade student from Notre Dame Academy, Patna, was declared one of the top 100 qualifiers for her painting on the topic 'Rani Lakshmibai came into my dream. She wanted me to serve our nation by...' The felicitation will be done in New Delhi by the MoD and the MoE, Government of India, along with a cash prize of rupees ten thousand. Astha's achievement adds another feather to NDA's cap, adding to the institution's glory and serving as evidence of the holistic education offered by the school.
The primary section of the school is instrumental in recognizing the hidden treasure of potential in each young student. Steadying the wavering and hesitant steps of the students, the teachers in the primary section are no less than mothers, cradling the girls in the warmth of their affection and moulding them to make the most out of themselves. Instilling the students with moral values and promoting overall development, the primary section lays the foundation of women, strong in character and rightful in approach. An array of activities infused with a compact and wholesome curriculum provides innumerable opportunities to the students to hone their talents and bloom into confident young girls.
