Principal's Message

Notre Dame education has deep roots in a spirituality that is centered on love and trust in a good and provident God and on a profound awareness of God’s creation. It is an education for meaning, wholeness, compassion and justice. Education is a means to restore dignity to the person, to give the individual reasons for living and to lead each person to the fullness of life.

We live in a contemporary situation, where the world realities cry out for a renewed sense of ethical responses and for ways that we can make a differences in our world. Globalization, a culture of competitiveness, the relativization of values and tradition, fragmentation of identity, technological advancements, concern for the sustainability of our planet and our contemporary society are new challenges for education. It is fundamental that education be put into the services of creating new models that many be able to revive, reorient and to give new meaning to the human activity on our planet.

The challenge is to educate for love, for freedom and for altruism, giving to humanity the gift of the new face of compassion and love. It is in and through education that one can hope for a more human and humane future and a more harmonious society.

Another academic year, with a plethora of activities and experiences has witnessed qualitative achievements that has been a result of dynamic partnership of management, teachers, students and parents .

My hearty congratulations to all the outstanding students, incredibly committed teachers and the proud and esteemed parents. As the students enter the portals of school with a new dream or hope I quote Vivekananda who said, ‘Arise awake and step not till the goal is reached.’ It is you who can make your own destiny. I encourage you to develop strength in self- discipline and the capacity to live according to intelligent understanding of what is valuable and true. Having educated in Notre Dame where St.Julie’s Principles and teachings play a vital role, this is my wish for you students. May all your achievements transform you to become a means to restore dignity to the person, to give the undivided reasons for living and to lead each person to the fullness of life.
